We commonly use “subscription by email” powered by feed-burner to increase loyal readership. Many blogger don’t check feed burner status and go through setting area.It is good habit if you do check setting area for each and every resource used online. OK. You definitely missed something. It is very important to active Noindex tag for feed burner. Simple reason behind this approach is to escape from duplicate content penalty. If you don’t activate this service, Google might penalize your blog for duplicate contents although you have posted original
contents. This lead to decrease page rank in SERP.
What if your feeds being indexed in search engine?
In simple words, it indicates search engine that contents of your blog post is copied from other sources and you lose originality of unique contents. You further understand what impact of duplicate content is.
How to active noindex tag for feed burner?
1.Login to your feed burner feed account.
2.Select your desired Blog/Site
3.Click on publicize option as shown in pic.
4.Click on Noindex at bottom of left column.See pic.
5.Check both option and Activate service.
6.Save it. Done.
Congratulate. Your genuine post will remain genuine. Use Noindex
for Feeds and live happily.
